The Snow image series by Sohrab Hura is the result of several stays in Kashmir, under Indian administration. Over five years and across the three cycles of winter, he explores the contrast between snowy beauty and the violence of a militarized territory claimed by multiple sides. Snow becomes a metaphor: it conceals and then reveals tensions, questioning the photographer’s perspective—shaped by biased narratives—as well as the political and human complexity of the place.
