On the occasion of the exhibition Nicaragua, History, Memory, the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson invites the public to a special book presentation with Susan Meiselas.
In the late 1970s, Susan Meiselas traveled to Nicaragua to cover the popular uprising that overthrew the regime of dictator Anastasio Somoza. Her color photographs—a rarity at a time when reporters still worked primarily in black and white—circulated around the world and were widely published by the international press. In 1981, she published Nicaragua, offering a detailed visual account of the events.
The talk will be held in English and followed by a book signing.
Tickets are available here.
